The architects who designed the Spodek were selected in 1959 in a competition announced by the Association of Polish Architects. The team of designers from the Office of Studies and Typical Designs of Industrial Construction from Warsaw included the architects: Maciej Gintowt and Maciej Krasiński. The hotel was modernized through a competition in 2017. and the winner was an architectural studio from Kielce - 2G STUDIO MSc. arch. Wojciech Gwizdak. The toilets in the building are equipped with Roca products.
